A collaboration between Pillars Community Health and NAMI Metro Suburban and housed in Brookfield, IL, the program has an interprofessional team including Recovery Support Specialists (young adults living well in their own mental health recovery), Family Support Specialists, and Mental Health Professionals. The Program Manager position is an exempt full-time employee of NAMI Metro­ Suburban. The position assists the Education Department and The Loft program with development, administration, and coordination of programs. This role updates and maintains training documents, coordinates master schedule of training programs and courses offered, provides supervision to The Loft team, and assists with the promotion of programming. The Program Manager works Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm , however, there may be instances where these days and hours are adjusted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership and Operations Oversees day-to-day operational needs of The Loft including supply inventory, shift coverage, opening/closing procedures Creates team schedule, administers time off, and approves timesheets for The Loft team Provides individual supervision to Recovery Support Specialist team Provides 1:1 and group peer support to teen clients as needed Co-leads The Loft team meetings Assists in the recruitment and training of new team members Administrative Duties Works closely with The Loft leadership team to plan and execute groups and activities, ensuring program is effective, inclusive, and fiscally responsible Ensures case notes, group notes, and paperwork are completed accurately and in a timely manner Assists in monthly grant reporting Monitors program budget as assigned Community Engagement Uses lived experience to advocate and normalize mental illness by actively sharing their story Delivers NAMI educational presentations in schools, community, and at The Loft Builds and maintains school and community partnerships through outreach to social workers, administrators, and teachers Promotes program in the community through marketing and outreach efforts including attendance at off-site community events Assists with creation and development of curriculum for various educational programs

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar allied health field required Eligible for Certified Recovery Support Specialist credential required A work history in mental health service delivery is desirable Has lived experience with mental health and is comfortable using their story Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and very well organized Strong administration skills and understanding of the non-profit sector Skilled in interpersonal relations, agency administration and social service programs Experience managing/supervising members and volunteers Ability to work well with a variety of people with a wide range of skills Excellent computer skills required: Word, Excel, Access or other database software

Pay:

$60,000.00 per year
