The Personal Banker is a customer‑focused professional responsible for building and sustaining strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service. This role supports customers with their everyday banking needs, provides guidance on financial products that align with their goals, and helps maintain a secure banking environment through effective fraud‑prevention and detection practices. Essential Functions Build and maintain strong client relationships to understand financial needs and deliver tailored solutions. Assist customers with account inquiries, transactions, and product or service recommendations. Utilize retail math skills to support customers with calculations related to their accounts. Implement fraud‑prevention and detection measures to safeguard customer information and financial assets. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers and 10‑key typing skills. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace, including responsibility for cash handling and controls. Secondary Functions Support branch operations by contributing to daily workflow, organization, and customer service standards. Identify opportunities to educate customers on additional products or services that support their financial goals. Assist with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth branch functioning. Participate in ongoing training to stay current on fraud trends, product updates, and operational procedures. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a banking or financial services role. Ability to commute reliably to Brookfield, IL 60513. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance, business, or related fields preferred. Demonstrated experience in customer service or retail banking, with a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Exceptional relationship‑building skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse customer base. Solid foundational math skills required for accurate cash handling and transaction support. Working knowledge of fraud‑prevention and detection practices, with a strong focus on safeguarding customer information. Proficiency in cash management procedures, including balancing, reconciliation, and secure handling protocols. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally. Ability to perform with accuracy and composure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required, with comfort in navigating specialized banking software and CRM platforms a plus.
Pay:
