Job Description

This position will assist with the daily operations of the Kentucky Caregiver Program, administered through the Aging Department. Staff will assist with all aspects of program activity, including coordinating the application process, shopping with participants, tracking services and compiling data and other tasks necessary for operations.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and approve all applications for program participants. Tracking service expenses for the Kentucky Caregiver Program. Schedule participants shopping days. Track services provided, data entry into required systems, reconcile credit card bill, ensure invoices are complete and submitted to fiduciary team for processing payments. Maintain a listing of resources and services available to grandparents caring for their grandchildren. Provide grandparent caregivers information about services, support groups, training, respite care and supplemental services. Serve on conference/event planning committees as assigned by the Caregiver Manager. Participate in community meetings and events as an effort of outreach to Grandparents and community partners to build awareness and community involvement and promote networking opportunities between organizations. Assist in conducting public forums, participant satisfaction surveys, needs assessment and data analysis which can be used in the ongoing evaluation of the program to ensure needs of caregiver grandparents are being met. Attend job development training and meetings assigned by Caregiver Manager.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Must possess excellent skills in Word, Excel and other computer operating systems. Strong organizational skills and follow-up ability. Ability to effectively communicate with clients, service providers, the general public and other staff. Problem solving skills. Proper telephone techniques and etiquette. Flexibility. Time Management. This is a grant funded position, and continued employment each year will be dependent on continued state and federal funding.
Pay:
From $40,000.00 per year
