Part-time @ 20 hours per week Position Summary CASA of Caroline is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven External Affairs Program Coordinator to lead our community engagement, marketing, and fundraising initiatives. This role is pivotal to growing our donor base, amplifying our brand presence across Caroline County, and securing the financial resources needed to recruit and support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for vulnerable children in our community. The coordinator will assist the Executive Director with key responsibilities in Strategic Fundraising, Donor Development, Marketing, Public Relations, Volunteer Recruitment, and Community Engagement as outlined below. 1. Strategic Fundraising & Donor Development Design and execute an annual fundraising plan to meet CASAs revenue goals. Identify, cultivate, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors. Plan and execute special fundraising events, campaigns, and annual appeals. Manage donor communications and tracking via the Bloomerang database. Assist the Executive Director in researching and drafting grant proposals. 2. Marketing & Public Relations Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise awareness of CASA of Caroline's mission. Oversee all digital marketing, email newsletters, and social media channels. Produce marketing collaterals, press releases, impact reports, and promotional materials. Build relationships with local media outlets, business associations, and community leaders to expand organization visibility. 3. Volunteer Recruitment Support & Community Engagement Partner with program staff to design targeted marketing campaigns aimed at recruiting CASA volunteers. Represent CASA of Caroline at networking groups, speaking engagements, and community events that align with the CASA mission. Build strategic partnerships with local businesses, civic organizations, and community groups.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, community outreach, or the nonprofit sector.
Skills:
Strong written/verbal communication, donor management database software, social media marketing, and event planning.
Attributes:
Passionate about child advocacy, highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Education:
Bachelor's degree - Communications, Marketing, or Nonprofit Management.
