Job Description

The Barry Community Foundation is in search of a highly motivated and organized individual with a desire to learn. The position is responsibile for the following:
  • Plan and execute a diverse range of youth program initiatives.
  • Coordinate school events, award ceremonies, and community engagement activities to enhance the visibility of youth initiatives.
  • Maintain precise database records and update student information as required.
  • Attend designated meetings and oversee committees as appropriate.
  • Ensure donor funds are allocated appropriately and provide fiscal responsibility from year to year.
  • Prepare reports for the committees, the board of directors, and other constituents, as needed.
  • Monitor programmatic procedures to ensure donors' wishes, foundation rules, and federal requirements are followed.
  • Process inquiries in a timely, professional fashion and maintain appropriate records.
  • Review program outcomes to ensure each initiative is making the greatest possible impact on students' future planning.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with community partners and youth representatives through timely responses to requests for information, mailings, phone calls, meetings, and assistance.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers and staff to maintain and retain a vigorous cohort supporting youth activities.
  • Promote, document, and process all grant requests as assigned.
  • Coordinate, administer, and review all budgets for the assigned programs and related activities.
  • Provide clerical support for internal and external communication efforts.
  • Provide typing, word processing, copying, and mailing services as requested.
  • Manage large-scale mailing projects.
  • Assist with research and purchasing of program-related supplies and services.
  • Answer the phones as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO or COO.Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft 365 is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal skills are required.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Ability to work with a variety of internal and external individuals.
  • Accountability and Supports
  • This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time, on-site position with flexible hours, up to 40 per week.
  • Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Salary
  • $45,000 - $50,000/year.
The Board of Directors establishes the hourly wage commensurate with qualifications and experience.
