Our experienced consultants utilize journey mapping and "how might we?" frameworks to scientifically validate our strategic choices. By fostering user empathy, we enhance workforce collaboration and the execution of your digital transformation strategy. Job Description The Engagement Manager is expected to function as an account manager with responsibility across the projects in the QuantumWork Advisory portfolio. This leader will act as the sponsor for QWA projects, acting as an escalation point, managing program-wide issues, dealing with partner management, and ensuring projects keep within contractual scope. This role is a critical position within our business and will be the face of QWA to our clients and partners on active projects. This role will lead projects and have indirect people management responsibilities across all project workstream functions on multiple projects. The Engagement Manager is expected to act as an sponsor for QWA projects, leading some of our larger more complex engagements within the portfolio. The Engagement Manager will have a subset of these projects, 3-5 at any given time, and not manage the entire portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Relationship management as a sponsor on multiple projects concurrently Monitoring projects to ensure scope and cost are aligned with contractual obligations Managing multiple resources indirectly across all workstreams Clarifies project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and executive stakeholders. Oversees the development and management of the project work plan, including work sequencing, work breakdown structure, work delivery schedule, and resource allocation. Estimate and re-estimate if necessary, the resources needed to achieve project goals. e.g., project team members, subject matter experts and technology tools. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team Resolving client escalations, dealing with issues with resources, timelines, expectations, and costs as necessary to meet client outcomes and stay on schedule Advises senior leadership of project status, recommendations, and how and when to course correct. Adheres to Product Development Life Cycle and in some cases a version of the Agile methodology for systems development Adheres to methods, procedures and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress and provides recommendations on process improvements. Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule. Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project. Communicates risks, needs, and status to stakeholders. Serves as a consultant to business partners and clients on effective project management practices and tools Attend various workstream sessions to provide senior guidance, advice, and avoid potential issues Maximize GP on portfolio of projects to ensure no overrun in scope or timeline, reducing risk of GP leakage Qualifications Previous people management experience preferred Experience with client relationship management at all levels from managers to C-suite Exceptional interpersonal skills: the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines Ability to develop consensus amongst diverse groups Strong planning experience and project management certification preferred Understanding of consulting methodologies and/or experience at a consulting firm, design thinking methodology experience preferred Strong presentation and written communication skills Knowledge of organizational change management principles Proven track record of managing projects 8+ years project management experience or equivalent business management experience (desired) 5+ years of direct VP+ level relationship management experience 3 years of Allegis Group company experience (desired) Bachelor's Degree Preferred Additional Information Location disclaimer: This position is open to North America locations outside of California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, and Washington.
