As a Senior Defense Program Manager, you will:
Manage all cost aspects of the program from cradle to end of life. This includes leading the Request for Proposal) RFP process, to monthly reporting of program performance, to program closeoutLead all schedule aspects of the program to ensure all teams are meeting their scheduled deliverables and customer need dates are met. Actively manage risk and develop solutions tomeet program objectivesLead all performance aspects of the program to ensure the collective team meets or exceeds the customers' expectations/requirements as it relates to the Statement of Work (SOW)Manage manpower planning, personnel utilization, resource assignment, and program metrics via control documents to include budget sheets, an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk Register, Scope Amendment Log, etc.
Lead teams to execute Program Reviews and Design Reviews to internal and external stakeholdersSupport department needs associated with Business development and ForecastingInstill a positive working environment where teams thrive and grow together to meet common goals/objectives. Lead by example, work to implement/improve processes/procedures andwork instructionsMinimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or another related fieldMinimum 6 years of program management experience and/or leading cross functional teams to established goalsExperience in program management practices and execution for government and defense industry and working with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain security clearance, minimum secret levelDemonstrated ability to understand staffing demand and supply data metrics; strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively meet program staffing requirementsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project)Ability to effectively manage multiple projectsEffective communication skills, both written and verbalSuccessful candidates may also have: Master's degree in engineering or business administrationSecret or higher security clearanceProject Management Certification (PMI / PMP or other)If you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.

Job Summary:
The Senior Defense Program Manager is responsible for leading larger and more complex technical programs within the Defense Engineering Department. Activities include managing customer communications, creating project planning documents, and leading teams to successful completion of project technical deliverables. Focus will be on Cost, Schedule, and Performance management of the program. The position will interface with all parts of the organization, in addition to customers, sub contractors, etc.As a Senior Defense Program Manager, you will:
