Job Description
Beginnings, Inc has an immediate opening for a Designated Coordinator. This position is available in the Alexandria area. New Beginnings, Inc. provides 24 hour residential services for adults with developmental disabilities and/or related conditions. This position does require the applicant be able to meet at least one of the listed qualifications of a Designated Coordinator. Applicant must meet at least one of the following: BA/BS in Human Services or related field with 1 year of full-time work experience (or equivalent) providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 years and older OR Associate degree in Human Services or related field with 2 years of full-time work experience (or equivalent) providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 years and older OR A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities with four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older under the supervision of an individual qualifying as Coordinator under 245D. We are looking for a dependable, mature, self-motivated individual to implement and oversee service delivery to individuals who receive services through this agency. The Designated Coordinator will provide supervision and leadership to direct care staff in tandem with providing direct cares to our clients. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing program support plans, documentation, completing required plans and reports and being part of the extended support team.
