Program Generalist (Part Time)

8AM - 2PM Junior Achievement of New Jersey's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. By bridging the business and education communities with hands-on experiential programs focused on business, entrepreneurship, civic responsibility, career-readiness, and financial literacy, JA aims to motivate, engage and inspire students to recognize the value and relevance of education; to make informed decisions about their own personal education and career pathways; and to equip students with the key career-readiness skills that will drive success in any environment, and to invigorate innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial thinking among our youth. This is a part-time temporary position with flexible scheduling from September 2026 to mid-June 2027, Monday-Friday, 8am - 2pm. Pay is $19.50 per hour. Position Description The Program Generalist manages daily operations of JA learning. The position works with the Director, Program Operations and other JANJ staff to ensure high-quality program delivery. This role maintains accurate records, supports data analysis and reporting, and helps coordinate communication with schools, educators, volunteers, and internal team members. Primary Responsibilities- Manage inventory and distribution of student and educator in-class curriculum and materials.
- Provide volunteer training and support for regional JA learning experiences to ensure quality, meaningful engagement.
- Assure adherence to program implementation models and file all needed program variances.
- Perform light cleaning and housekeeping duties in program and storage areas to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for students, educators, volunteers, and staff
- Other duties as assigned, which may include some early mornings, weeknights, and weekends.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in program coordination, event management, customer service, education, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present educators, volunteers, and students in a variety of school settings.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-management skills are important.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
