Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Facilitator to lead therapeutic and educational groups for our diverse client population in both our medical detox and short-term residential units. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early recovery, skilled in group dynamics, and able to manage a challenging yet rewarding clinical environment. This role is essential in delivering the core therapeutic programming that supports our clients' stabilization and engagement in the recovery process. Schedule Availability 8am-4:30pm:
Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday Responsibilities:
Design, prepare, and facilitate a variety of daily therapeutic, psychoeducational, and process groups (e.g., CBT, DBT skills, relapse prevention, psychoeducation on addiction, 12-Steps topics, trauma-informed skills, etc.). Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation of group sessions, including attendance, client participation, and progress notes, adhering to all state and federal regulations. Manage group dynamics, ensuring a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for all participants, intervening effectively when necessary. Collaborate with the clinical and medical team (Therapists, Nurses, Physicians, Case Managers) to ensure a unified and comprehensive approach to client care. Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to the highest ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy required. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience running therapeutic groups within a similar setting (e.g., detox, short-term residential, intensive outpatient program, or inpatient mental health). Demonstrated competency in facilitating groups using a variety of evidence-based modalities. Strong understanding of addiction, co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention, and group process. Experience working with medical detox protocols and the specific challenges of early withdrawal. Proficiency in
KIPU EMR
