Under the supervision of the Program Manager, shall oversee and coordinate all program activities associated with the project.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- AA degree in social sciences or business, plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience working with youth; or any equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years working with youth.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of youth issues/services and community programs serving the target population.
- Must be able to follow and carry out written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.
- Ability to establish an effective working relationship with staff, the target population, and the public.
- Must be able to use discretion in all facets of work-related situations.
- Broad knowledge of the needs, drives, and interests of children, youth, and families.
- Ability to perform all work rapidly and accurately, meeting all deadlines when applicable.
- Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high standards of morals and speech.
- Must be dependable and flexible with regard to working hours.
- Must have direct service experience in a clinical setting and have an understanding of how mental health issues impact children and families.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position that requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with YDI employees, community residents, parents, and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulations concerning confidentiality. Good general health is required. Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required. Physical required at offer of employment and may be required intermittently. Due to the outreach nature of the position, frequent travel around the metropolitan area is required of the employee, and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required. Youth Development, Inc. is an at-will employer. Employment is by mutual consent of the company and employee, and either may terminate the relationship at any time with or without cause or advance notice. This job is contingent upon funding; however, availability of funding is not a guarantee of continued employment, nor does it imply any specific term of employment.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Not Inclusive):- Will coordinate program in accordance with the scope of work stipulated in the funded proposal and contract.
- Will complete required training as applicable by the funding entity.
- Will work under the oversight and direction of designated worksite employees as appropriate for scheduling and project planning.
- Will provide day-to-day supervision and mentoring of participants, including corrective measures related to conduct or attendance.
- Will assign required equipment and uniforms to participants and maintain access and usage throughout the program.
- Will provide transportation for participants to and from the worksite and onsite as needed.
- Will maintain daily time and attendance records and coordinate timesheets and paychecks according to required policies and procedures.
- Will provide case management for participants to include referrals to services and mediation as necessary.
- Will report worksite incidents to the manager on a timely basis and complete required documentation forms.
- Will update participant files with case notes on a weekly basis.
- Will participate in semi-monthly supervision meetings for planning and evaluation purposes.
- Will submit weekly reports on program activities to the Program Manager and a final comprehensive report at the conclusion of the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
