Salary Range:
$38,000 to $45,000 (Health, Dental, Vision, and Retirement Benefits available)JOB SUMMARY
: The Program Coordinator, United Readers supports and advances United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra's (UWNNS) mission to link the community's will and resources to improve lives. This position's primary responsibility is to work with the Program Director to support and expand the implementation of UWNNS's AmeriCorps United Readers program which provides Nevada elementary schools with trained AmeriCorps mentors who develop the foundational skills of students. The position will execute a variety of administrative tasks and handle critical and confidential data. This is a grant-based position, and continuation of employment is dependent on continuation of program funding.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
PROGRAMAND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Provide project and program management support to Program Director
- Assist with member recruitment, selection, enrollment, onboarding, training, support, and exit from the program
- Maintain confidential member files and process program paperwork e.g., member timesheets, leave requests, and reimbursements
- Assist with the development and maintenance of policies and standard operating procedures
- Review member weekly tasks and prepare reports to appropriate staff and stakeholders
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure successful data collection and analysis
- Support the United Readers team with grant compliance and reporting
- Assist with the development and implementation of program communication, marketing, and evaluation
COMMUNITY IMPACT
- Commitment to understanding all UWNNS Community Impact programming
- Collaborate to develop the strategic plan and outcomes of UWNNS programs
- Collaborate to design and implement UWNNS initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to advocate for policies related to UWNNS focus areas
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively represent UWNNS in the community
- Communicate UWNNS and program mission and goals effectively
- Demonstrate UWNNS Values in the performance of your duties
- Understand current educational, social, and community issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIRED OR PREFERRED
- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Experience with project management
- Experience managing data collection and reporting
- Experience leading and engaging others in learning
SKILLS REQUIRED OR PREFERRED
- High-level organization and project management skills
- Knowledge of standard office technology, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work individually and as a team member
- Detail-oriented
- Have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
