Job Description
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine to somewhat complex clerical and administrative support duties which include receptionist, word processing, data entry, record keeping, filing, and other similar duties in support of the organization. The position provides general information and assistance to the public.
The Program Coordinator serves as the primary administrative and program support position for Health & Community Services, in either Lockwood or Virginia City. Providing exceptional customer service to older adults, community members, partner agencies, volunteers, and the general public. The position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services, administrering the community food pantry, assisting with the planning and implementation of programs and special events, and performing a wide variety of administrative and clerical functions that support the efficient operation of the department. Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to gain the required knowledge and ability is: Possession of a high school diploma or equivalency; and Two years of progressively responsible experience working in an office setting; preparing correspondence, reports, and statistical analyses; compiling data; and customer service. Possess and maintain a valid Nevada Driver License appropriate for vehicles and other equipment operated. The ability to pass a criminal background investigation. Military experience applicable to the duties of this position may be preferred.
