Job Description

Just for Kids is looking for an experienced on-site Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our before and after school program in the Grand Island School District for the 2026-2027 school year.

Just for Kids is a community-centered non-profit organization that offers before and after school and summer programming. Just for Kids offers programs for the Amherst, Cheektowaga Central, Cheektowaga Sloan, Cleveland Hill, Grand Island, Sweet Home, and Williamsville Districts as well as Enrichment programs at Nardin Academy, Park School of Buffalo, St. Benedict School, St. Mary's School (Swormville), and Saints Peter and Paul School (Hamburg).
Position Summary:
The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the assigned
NYS OCFS
licensed Just for Kids location. To oversee the implementation of preplanned activities and create supplemental appropriate and engaging activities as needed for participants in a safe, supervised, structured environment, in alignment with OCFS regulations. Oversee the implementation of age-appropriate daily activities and model appropriate activities to staff as needed. Schedule spaces of groups of children based on size, activity and maintaining ratios. Manage staff working at the program location and ensure staff are providing direct, competent supervision of children at all times. Create and disseminate regular staff communication to include upcoming week's activities, schedule changes, special guests, etc. Ensure a positive work environment for staff. Timesheet approval and performance evaluations for staff Maintain positive daily communications with children and their families, staff, District operations, and the Just for Kids program at large. Maintain accurate record keeping. Any other duties specified by the Director of Just for Kids School Age Programs.

Schedule:
Our program follows the district calendar. Program Manager hours
  • Monday through Friday mornings, 6:45am to 9:00am and Monday through Friday afternoons, 2:30pm to 6:00pm Planning time and weekly Program Manager meetings Five-day availability AM and PM required.

Qualifications :
2 years of experience working in childcare 1 year supervisory experience in a childcare position 18 credits of education related courses Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education or related degree
