Job Description
Job Requirements Starting Pay Range:
$17 - $18/hr Day Shift Responsible for planning, directing and providing a comprehensive and diverse program of leisure time activities geared to the specific interests and needs of Elders Program participants with emphasis on activities that provide intellectual, social and emotional stimulation. What you will do as aElders Activities Leader:
Assists in developing and implementing a wide array of leisure time activities for Elders Program participants. Facilitates assigned activities for elders. Interacts with Elders' Program participants and always provides excellent customer service. Develops daily, weekly and monthly schedules of events and activities calendars. Provides lunch list for Kitchen. Complete all invoices for program contracted personnel. Maintains a resource directory of various crafters, instructors, volunteers, entertainers and speakers. Evaluates the interest and success of programs through attendance, participant response and other measures; utilizes tools to track participation in each activity or event. Arranges for transportation to enable Elders to attend program activities; updates bus driver schedules accordingly.Who We Are:

Work Experience To be successful as an Elders Activities Leader you'll need: High School Diploma/Equivalency combined with five years related experience; or an Associate's Degree combined with three years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Two years of recent experience developing activities for older adults in a social or recreational program is desired. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, often including evening hours. Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 10 pounds.What we value:
