Job Description

Year round Program Specialist/Camp Director Are you passionate about creating meaningful experiences for young people year-round? Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson is seeking a dynamic leader who will direct one of our camp programs during the summer and spend the rest of the year developing and delivering engaging Girl Scout programs, outdoor adventures, leadership experiences, and special events. This is an opportunity to combine camp leadership, youth development, program innovation, and community engagement in one rewarding role where you'll help girls build confidence, discover new skills, and create lasting memories. What You'll Do
  • Lead all aspects of camp operations during the summer.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and inspire seasonal staff.
  • Create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for campers and staff.
  • Develop and deliver year-round Girl Scout programs and outdoor experiences.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and program logistics.
  • Build relationships with families, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with
ACA, NYS
Department of Health, and safety standards. We're Looking For Someone Who Has
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in camp, youth development, recreation, education, or a similar setting.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for outdoor education and youth development.
  • A bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check. Why Join Us?
