Youth Program Leader

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lutheran Youth Program Leader to lead and develop youth engagement initiatives within our community. This role offers an opportunity to foster spiritual growth, provide meaningful educational experiences, and build a supportive environment for young people. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, experience working with students, and a commitment to faith-based youth development. Duties Develop, plan, and implement youth programs aligned with Lutheran values and community needs Coordinate activities, retreats, and service projects that promote spiritual growth and leadership skills Collaborate with church staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of youth program volunteers and assistants Manage program budgets, resources, and materials efficiently Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from diverse youth populations Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and assessments to ensure continuous improvement Promote youth programs through outreach efforts within the church and local community Experience Teaching experience, Christian ministry, camping staff experience is preferred Prior experience working with students in educational or faith-based settings is essential Demonstrated ability to lead youth programs with enthusiasm and professionalism with adherence to safety measures regarding children programming Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills for engaging youth, parents, and community stakeholders Commitment to fostering a positive, faith-centered environment that encourages personal growth This position offers a rewarding opportunity to influence the lives of young people through faith-based education and community service.
