Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Automotive Program Manager to lead and oversee complex automotive development projects from inception through delivery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality automotive solutions that meet market demands. As a key leader, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project portfolios, and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. Your expertise in program development, agile methodologies, and technical management will be instrumental in advancing our automotive initiatives and fostering continuous improvement. Location This position could be located in Ohio or Tennessee Summary/Objective
- Manage prototype and program launch activities to insure 100% on time delivery with fulfilled requirements to customer through inter department coordination. Essential Functions
- Serve as the contact with sales and customer to establish launch strategy, timeline, and documentation related to pre-production through to production launch of new programs after contract has been awarded and released from sales.
- Serve as the management representative with all cross functional areas: scheduling of tooling/fixture, production, materials, process, and quality (Including
PPAP/SIR
) to meet customer requirements of new model /prototype development and production launch.- Manage overall prototype activities for new models as well as change point activities by following up confirmation on existing product.
- Monitor progress of projects on time with meeting customer and internal expectations before handoff of new model activity to production, monitor mass production readiness of new product launches.
- Over all support to improve new model activities (Including customer audit) required by customers.
- This job operates in a manufacturing and office environment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Physically able to walk the plant floor on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand 60% of the workday. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. . Required Education and Experience
- College degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of (2) years' experience in Project
- Ability to work on several projects at once.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Project
- Program Management skills
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills Preferred Education and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience working with Polyurethane Foam or equivalent experience in the automotive engineering field.
Pay:
$85,000.00- $95,000.
