Works closely with Program Director, ensuring program outcomes are achieved in a manner consistent with CODA's mission, standards, and treatment philosophy. Directly supervises program staff, operations, resources, and partnerships to achieve desired outcomes and operational targets for a grouping of dissimilar or complex programs.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Program Management:
Manage program operations utilizing effective leadership that motivates, inspires, and supports staff to quality outcomes. Manager works under the guidance of the Program Director to ensure program outcomes and operational targets are achieved, service utilization is optimized, regulatory and agency standards are met, budgets are maintained, and program maintains financial viability. Management is data driven.Supervision:
Provide assertive clinical supervision sessions and administrative supervision that includes documented one-on-one coaching sessions with all direct reports, program staff and programmatic activities, ensuring quality of services, championing and monitoring agency adopted evidence based practices and fidelity to supported methodology and protocols.Team Leadership:
Provide leadership to program team, ensuring team members work productivity as a team, have high staff morale, and realize connectivity to the agency and the agency mission. Maintain a cohesive, mission-driven team and continually develop the team to suit the needs of the program.Clinical Service:
May provide coverage during periods of staff absence. Responsible for modeling desired clinical and administrative practices.Community:
Collaborate with relevant provider agencies and referents. Ensure staff follow-through with agency practices in support of provider relations.Agency:
Contribute to the overall success of the agency through participation in work teams and inter-department communications. Provide routine and accurate reports to Program Director about program staff, operations, resources, and partnerships, keeping them fully apprised of the state of the program. Assure completion of program safety initiatives including safety audits, completion of fire drills and other safety-related activities. Consistent attendance and punctuality are required of this position. Ability to travel between sites or external locations for meetings. Achieve outcomes using methods that align with CODA's mission and values: Communicate accurately and positively about recovery and the use of evidence-based treatments. Use data and science to identify barriers, overcome obstacles, and inform decisions. Be financially responsible; avoid waste, document accurately, seek new opportunities to serve. Demonstrate compassion and respect for others.SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Provide on-call consultation for incidents or crisis management. Positively represent CODA at program level provider meetings, collaborative staffing, in the community, and at industry events. Collaborate actively with administrative departments. Be a champion for agency initiatives through practicing positive change management techniques. Participate in and/or lead agency training and development activities. Assist executives, board members, co-workers, community partners, employees, and other agency contacts with special projects.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is accountable for the full range of supervisory responsibilities, ensuring appropriate steps are taken in hiring, coaching, corrective action, training and termination of employees.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (required) or Masters Degree (preferred) from nationally accredited school in a human services discipline Four (4) years of paid full-time experience in the social services field with direct behavioral health counseling. Four (4) years supervisory experience.COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Demonstrated competence in leadership, wellness, oversight and evaluation of services, staff development, individual service and support planning, case management and coordination, utilization of community resources, group, family and individual therapy or counseling, documentation and rationale for services to promote intended outcomes and implementation of all provider policies. Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to articulate clinical concepts and program outcomes. Ability to operate a computer, utilize basic MS Office programs, and effectively navigate and maintain client records in an electronic medical records system.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Valid Oregon or Washington Driver's License CADCII preferred May be required to attain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire. Crisis prevention training completed within 90 days of hire.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to negotiate a staircase, reach, and handle objects. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time Must be able to perform Basic Life Support for 15 minutes continuously if certified in BLS. Must be able to follow proper protocol while interacting directly with patients and working in a clinical environment. Must be able to operate a personal computer for extended periods of time, including reading from a computer monitor, keyboarding, and using a mouse. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.OTHER REQUIREMENTS
: Respond to critical situations outside of regular work hours. A negative result on all pre-employment, reasonable basis, and post-accident drug screens . Healthcare environment; exposure to blood or blood borne pathogens and bed bugs. An acceptable criminal record as determined by DHS, the Oregon Administrative Rules, and the Oregon Revised Statutes.
