The principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the LIU center program, overseeing special education services in alignment with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit's Special Education Plan and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) guidelines. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive educational experiences for students with exceptionalities, while leading program development, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and fostering collaboration both within the center and with external partners.
Requirements:
Master's degree in education or related field, required Pennsylvania Principal (K-12) Certification, required Minimum of five (5) years of successful special education teaching experience. Demonstrated leadership experience in special education settings preferred. Experience in program coordination, compliance monitoring, and instructional support. Knowledge of IDEA, Chapter 14, 15, and 16 regulations, preferred Demonstrate experience with inclusive practices, MTSS, and behavioral support systems Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders Comfort with educational technology and data tools
Terms of Employment:
Full-time, 260 days
