This role ensures programming supports the enrichment, engagement, and well-being of Members while fostering a safe, welcoming, and socially interactive environment. The Program Coordinator manages all aspects of the Adult Day Program, including programming, membership, finances, compliance, volunteer coordination, marketing, and community outreach. This individual embraces a person-directed, strengths-based approach to supporting those living with cognitive change. Essential Responsibilities Model exceptional customer service and demonstrate the Willow Valley Communities MORE values in every interaction. Manage all areas of the Among Friends Adult Day Program, including membership, programming, finances, marketing, compliance, and community relations. Develop, organize, and oversee meaningful engagement opportunities that support multiple domains of well-being. Lead and support Team Members in delivering enriching experiences tailored to the unique interests and abilities of Members. Ensure compliance with Willow Valley Communities policies and procedures, as well as applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Promote a safe environment that supports the health, well-being, and protection of all Members. Partner with the Memory Center Leadership Team to support community outreach initiatives and educational opportunities. Foster positive communication with Members, families, responsible parties, interdisciplinary Team Members, and community partners. Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers who enhance the Member experience. Develop and maintain the monthly engagement calendar in collaboration with the Lead Care Partner. Maintain accurate attendance, participation, and program documentation records. Coordinate Member admissions, onboarding, and discharge processes. Ensure all required documentation and reporting requirements are maintained. Provide daily leadership and supervision for Adult Day Program Team Members, volunteers, visitors, and Members. Connect caregivers and families with support resources and participate in care planning activities. Maintain inventory and supplies needed to support programming. Perform other duties as assigned. Leadership Responsibilities Provide daily supervision and direction to Adult Day Program Team Members. Support and mentor staff in delivering exceptional person-centered services. Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for Members, volunteers, families, and visitors. Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the program. Qualifications Education & Experience One of the following qualifications is required: Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification preferred, OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in social services or healthcare, OR High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a social service or healthcare setting, including experience working with aging adults or adults with functional impairments and supervising staff. Plus Strong knowledge of best practices for supporting individuals living with cognitive impairment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated creativity, flexibility, and adaptability. Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Commitment to Resident-centered care and exceptional customer service. Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations and all Willow Valley Communities policies and procedures.
