Program Office Representative for the Component Development team informs and enables the
COLUMBIA
class program's imperative to develop and deliver engineered components critical to enabling COLUMBIA's mission superiority. The team's primary charter is the management of Hull Mechanical and Electrical components and material for both COLUMBIA and the UK. The Component Representative, as part of the Component Development Team will work in a multi-organizational team across Electric Boat to maintain a clear focus and drive on

program objectives as well as managing program execution and risk for developmental components. Responsibilities include full lifecycle of component development from procurement and design through manufacture, testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities Are:
Lead and support the development, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of engineered submarine components by coordinating daily program activities and driving alignment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply-chain teams.
Identify program-based and technical risks by collecting data, assessing impacts, and engaging cross-functional teams; support or lead mitigation planning, obstacle removal, and recovery actions to maintain schedule and technical performance.
Monitor critical or constrained component development efforts, elevate issues proactively, and collaborate with technical and operations partners to drive manufacturing improvements and ensure readiness for shipyard need dates.
Participate in and help guide concept formulation, process development, and program strategy discussions; translate technical inputs and operational requirements into executable plans and development pathways.
Build, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules, budget profiles, and program performance metrics; prepare recurring updates, status reports, and decision-support material for program and senior leadership.
Support strategic vision and communication by preparing presentations, progress summaries, and technical documentation for leadership engagements, including informal discussions and executive-level briefs.
Coordinate and help drive key program milestones and component delivery activities, ensuring cross-functional alignment, timely issue resolution, and clear communication across engineering, production, quality, and supply-chain partners.
Organize and document technical discussions, track action items, and drive closure across responsible teams to maintain forward progress and ensure accountability.
Foster a collaborative environment by maintaining strong communication channels, promoting transparency, and ensuring stakeholders have the information needed for effective decision-making.

Discounts to local and national vendors This position is located at the Design and Engineering facility in London, CT and is work from home flexible. Applicants must be able to travel between London, Groton, and occasionally Quonset Point. Applicants may be required to travel occasionally to various subcontractor and vendor sites to support component design and program reviews, as well as to EB Washington Engineering Office (WEO), port s Shipbuilding - Huntington Ingalls Industries in port s, VA., Washington Navy Yard.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the
Department of Defense Preferred:
2+ years of EB program office experience
Project management / leadership experience
ITAR experience a plus
Bachelor's degree
