The Group Facilitator is responsible for the planning and implementation of the group curriculum for the agency's Abuser Intervention Program Project SPIN. Assists with the enrollment process, intake, and orientation of group participants. The Group Facilitator will co-lead SPIN groups for individuals who have perpetrated domestic violence and are court-ordered to participate in group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate group sessions utilizing the Strength at Home Curriculum Collaboration with Co-Facilitator in planning group sessions Document Services Provided through Agency Electronic Health Record Address issues and concerns of participants in the program including providing referrals for services to support the participant Completion of program reports to referral sources Participate in program development activities, staff meetings and case review sessions Make recommendations regarding the participant status in the program and appropriateness to participate in the program.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related counseling field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of issues of gender-based violence. Demonstrated skills in group facilitation. Demonstrated cultural competencies in working with a diverse population. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to utilize digital technology (computer, virtual communication platform, electronic health records) Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
Must pass criminal background screening/CPS background check.
Language Skills:
Ability to respond and communicate effectively with clients, support family members and referral sources. Ability to effectively present information to professionals and group participants. Strong writing skills, ability to write reports and respond to business correspondence.
Reasoning Ability and Technical Skills:
Ability to operate personal vehicles to drive to community-based sites for work-related meetings. Sufficient computer skills to operate email, Internet, Microsoft Office, and Apricot software. Judgment when to seek supervisory consultation.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings and group activities.
Travel:
Some local and state travel is required.
