REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience providing engagement or dementia-related care in adult day, assisted living, or similar settings required. CPR/BLS certification required. Ability to pass TBI fingerprinting background check. Preferred credentials include Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Activity Director, Recreation Therapy, or related certifications. Ability to play a musical instrument preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must meet continuing education requirements per state regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to sit and stand for up to 8 hours. Walking, bending, and light lifting up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate a calm, friendly voice and professional demeanor appropriate for older adults. Abe's Garden is an equal opportunity employer.
