Job Description

Job Purpose and Scope:
Develop, coordinate, market and implement services offered to families through Bridges to Growth parent and childcare provider resource center and throughout the county.
Position hours:
Monday - Thursday. Periodic evenings and Saturdays may be required.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a major related to children and families. Work experience or training certificate in related field may be substituted for degree. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred. Detail oriented with strong project planning and organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills and creative ideas for family engagement. Ability to handle multiple priorities and task simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to relate to parents or caregivers in a caring, non-judgmental manner. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take initiative. Ability to interface with diverse individuals, schools and community organizations. Ability to operate computers and general office software, including Microsoft 365 Suite and Google Suite.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Staying abreast of current trends and research in child development, parenting, and childcare and the needs of Georgetown families. Planning and implementing a robust schedule of events, including parenting and childcare education, children's events, bilingual events, and annual early childhood education conference. Working with the Program Director to determine programming direction and goals. Overseeing Bridges to Growth staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers, including scheduling, handling absences, and recruiting and supervising contractors, interns, and volunteers. Providing trainers with Contractor Invoice and payment instructions and updating Finance Manager with outstanding contract information. Assisting trainers with onsite technology and procedures at Bridges to Growth and providing technical support for trainers providing Zoom classes. Creating and maintaining Bridges to Growth forms, including registration forms, release forms, sign in sheets, and evaluations. Ensuring accurate data collection and data entry; preparing data reports for grant reporting. Promoting and providing presentations on Bridges to Growth services to community partners, agencies, schools, and funders. Serving on community task forces and participating in youth collaboratives. Updating promotional flyers for Bridges to Growth.
Assisting in the office:
Registering participants for classes/events, answering phones, registering class/event participants, and assisting walk-in customers as needed. Connecting families with needed community resources. Maintaining inventory in the lending library and clothing closet.

Must understand the importance of a healthy start in life, beginning with early environments that protect, nurture and enrich the promise in and healthy development of infants, toddlers and preschool children. Must value the importance of parents, grandparents, childcare providers, and other caregivers. Must be comfortable with a high level of interaction with other non-profits, community agencies and organizations, schools, businesses, volunteers, youth, and other constituents throughout the community. Must be comfortable working with children of all ages. Must have the ability to work with persons from diverse backgrounds. Must demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible. Must have demonstrated excellent communication and customer service skills. Must participate in committees and planning groups as required. Must help to maintain a collegial atmosphere where competence, creativity, and a sense of humor are valued. Must dress appropriately for level of contact with children, families, and the community. Must be comfortable with a team-oriented staff that values collaboration, and innovation
Pay:
From $42,000.00 per year
