Essential Duties and Responsibilities include providing a safe and secure environment for all students in Extended Learning programs and adhering to all procedures and expectations outlined in district and program handbooks. Responsibilities also include leading a group of children with diverse needs and abilities, ensuring that all staff and children are respectful of school property, and ensuring all campus rules are followed. The role requires communicating clearly, effectively, and in a positive manner with children, parents, and other district personnel as prescribed by the programs expectations, as well as serving as a program ambassador to promote the program within the district, school, and community. Duties related to curriculum include facilitating the implementation of program-designed curriculum, positive behavior management plans, and rotations created by Campus Leadership, along with creating and implementing enrichment clubs at campuses/sites, including but not limited to art club, gardening club, chess club, and similar activities. Safety responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation on each child regarding attendance, absences, and student information, maintaining accurate headcount of all children present at the site and communicating changes with all other staff, and assisting in maintaining clean-up schedules to ensure the cleanliness of the Extended Day room. Training responsibilities include participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as staff development, curriculum development, and program committees, maintaining all required certifications and meeting annual training requirements, and performing other duties as assigned.Background requirements:
