Job Description

About Us Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Northwest (BBBS) has been matching youth with trained mentors and providing ongoing support to develop and sustain positive mentoring relationships since 1965. BBBS partners with volunteer mentors, families, and the community so youth in our programs—particularly young people furthest from opportunity—can build self-esteem, increase confidence, achieve higher aspirations, develop better relationships, make positive behavior choices, improve mental health, and experience educational success. Each employee of BBBS helps to extend our mission in particular ways and in collaboration with team members, our board of directors, and other stakeholders. Justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) is an integral part of our values and mission. We recognize, affirm, and celebrate the diverse backgrounds, lives, and experiences of all stakeholders, including youth, families, donors, volunteers, and staff. In the workplace, we foster an environment where all people can be their best selves. We affirm that every person (regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, gender expression, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation, marital or veteran status) can reach their full potential. We strive to realize the full potential that is within all of us by ensuring that all voices and perspectives are heard and honored. We serve a culturally rich and diverse population of youth and their families, and we encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply for this position and help to more fully advance our mission. This position will focus exclusively on serving students enrolled at Medical Lake High School through the MPower Mentoring Program.
