JiA — Jóvenes in Action is our youth prevention program. Through education, conversation, creativity, and relationship-building, we work alongside Latine youth to strengthen skills and knowledge that can contribute to safer, healthier communities. Other days you may facilitate a role play, organize program materials, coordinate with a teacher, collect attendance, or help turn youth feedback into an improvement to the curriculum. The work is both relational and practical. Young people need someone who can hold a room with warmth and confidence, while also remembering the attendance forms, consent documentation, calendar updates, gift cards, and other details that make a program work. Be present on Tuesdays during Walk-In Days to provide program support. Support other reasonable program or organizational needs as they arise. Who We Are Looking For We care as much about how you show up with young people as what is on your résumé. You can follow a curriculum while still responding to the actual young people sitting in front of you. You communicate with warmth, professionalism, and cultural humility.
