Job Title:
Assistant Project Coordinator Job Description The Assistant Project Coordinator supports ownership and field operations by combining project coordination and administrative responsibilities. This role helps keep construction projects organized and on schedule through careful management of documentation, scheduling, reporting, correspondence, filing, and tracking outstanding project items. Responsibilities Support project teams with day-to-day documentation and administrative tasks throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain and update project schedules to ensure timelines are clearly communicated and followed. Prepare, manage, and distribute project reports and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner. Track outstanding action items, follow up with appropriate stakeholders, and help drive items to completion. Organize, file, and manage project documents and records to ensure easy access and proper retention. Provide direct administrative and coordination support to ownership and field personnel. Assist with construction project coordination activities, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and general project documentation. Support scheduling, reporting, and filing activities related to construction projects and office operations. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, administrative support, or a related role; 2-4 years of experience preferred. Construction industry experience, ideally in concrete or related trades, strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep multiple projects and tasks well structured. Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with office leadership and field staff. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with construction project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and general coordination tasks. Background in construction administration support, including scheduling, reporting, and filing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Concrete construction experience is a significant plus but not required. Additional years of relevant experience beyond the minimum are welcomed. Experience in construction management or related fields is beneficial. Comfort working closely with both office and field personnel in a collaborative environment. Willingness to learn and participate in provided training to grow within the role. Work Environment This position is based in a family-oriented, office-based construction environment. The role requires working on-site in the office five days per week, collaborating closely with ownership, office leadership, and field staff. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401k Medical, Dental, Vision PTO Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Englewood Cliffs,NJ.
