We are seeking Refrigeration Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chino, CA. This role oversees refrigeration and HVAC projects from planning through completion, coordinating engineering, installation, and service activities to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project timelines, tracking materials and equipment, coordinating with technicians and subcontractors, and communicating with customers regarding project status and expectations. The Refrigeration Project Manager reviews drawings and specifications, monitors quality and safety standards, and ensures that inspections and testing are completed and documented. The role also includes resolving field issues, optimizing logistics, and partnering with internal teams to improve project delivery processes.
Essential functions:
Reviews project estimates and preliminary designs to establish time frame/schedule, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectCollaborates with internal and external project stakeholders to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authorityCoordinates activities of project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budgetReviews status reports prepared by project personnel and coordinates schedules or plans as requiredCoordinates with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problemsServes as the primary liaison for Sales Team, Project Engineer, Customers, Internal and External Resources, and Management regarding project related itemsIdentifies and addresses safety related items to eliminate accidents on projectsCoordinates and documents quotes and proposals with vendors. Procures equipment for projects and work with vendors and subcontractors to coordinate timely deliveries of equipment.
Obtains, reviews, and approves subcontractor scopes of work and quotes. Works with internal team members to have contracts written and executed.
Identifies opportunities for, provides pricing, and delivers change orders to customersAssists in equipment selection and manages the design and engineering of the project.
Works with management on monthly budget management, project forecasting, project billing and collectionsUnderstands general contracting/industrial refrigeration.
