Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead water, sewer, stormwater, and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction and closeout. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates have a strong civil engineering background and hands-on experience with pump stations, treatment facilities, and related construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation for water, sewer, stormwater, and wastewater projects.
Manage design review and coordination with engineers, consultants, and utilities, ensuring constructability and compliance with specifications.
Oversee construction activities on-site, coordinate contractors and subcontractors, and perform progress monitoring and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFI responses, submittals, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, safety standards, and agency requirements for pump stations, treatment plants, and civil works.
Develop and manage project risk registers, mitigation plans, and resolve technical and contractual issues promptly.
Lead stakeholder communication with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, and the public; facilitate meetings and deliver presentations.
Track project financials including cost estimates, forecasting, invoicing, and budget control.
Mentor and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, promote best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Masters degree a plus.
5+ years of progressive project management experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, sewer, or related civil infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing pump station, treatment plant, and sewer/stormwater construction projects from design through closeout.
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pump station systems, stormwater conveyance, and sanitary sewer design and construction.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local permitting and environmental regulations relevant to water/wastewater projects.
Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar), and technical software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D or GIS.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a track record of managing contractors, consultants, and client relationships.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites; OSHA safety training preferred. Benefits Medical Vision
