Job Description

Job Description The Assistant Project Manager reports to and is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the daily management, supervision, coordination, quality control and successful completion of construction project(s). Duties/Responsibilities Review and Analysis of Subcontractor Proposals and Purchase Orders. Taking the lead on Construction Document notation, filing, updates and distribution. Keeping all documents up to date and distributed to required parties. Creating, maintaining and timely distribution of Submittal's and RFI's. Perform project scheduling; ensuring project quality control and establishing overall project logistics Developing RFP packages and soliciting proposals from Subcontractors for specific scope of work. Managing projects from the bid process through close-out. Perform take-offs and estimations. Monitor and expedite the delivery of materials. Cost coding direct costs for accounting. Creating change events and change orders for Project Manager approval. Tracking T&M costs. Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of the submittal process, knowing the who/what/where/when Experience in Project Scheduling. Microsoft Project preferred. On the Job Experience with Bluebeam or other estimating programs. Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, manuals, product/material installation and engineering/architectural drawings. Obtain and keep current OSHA 10 safety training Proficient in Microsoft Office. Education & Experience 2+ years experience as an Assistant Project Manager with a Commercial General Contractor. Associate Degree or higher
