Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction or designee, and in collaboration with the Director of Student and Family Services, the Coordinator of Categorical Programs and Special Projects coordinates the day-to-day planning, implementation, monitoring, documentation, reporting, budgeting, technical assistance, and continuous improvement of assigned state and federal categorical programs and special projects. The Coordinator implements approved plans and provides operational leadership within delegated authority. The appropriate Director retains final authority for district policy, instructional direction, student-service decisions, employee evaluation, budget and plan approval, formal compliance certification, and legal interpretation. - Valid California teaching or other appropriate services credential.
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential or eligibility to obtain one, subject to district classification requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least three years of successful certificated experience; teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating categorical, English learner, assessment, intervention, grant-funded, or related district programs.
- Experience designing and delivering professional learning and working with diverse educational partners.
- Master's degree and district
- or site-level leadership experience preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Possession of a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to district sites and partner agencies.
CREDENTIALS
- Valid California teaching or other appropriate services credential.
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential or eligibility to obtain one, subject to district classification requirements.
