What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Schedule/Hours:
- Travel contract assignment
- Shifts and hours may vary based on facility needs
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Expertise in scrubbing and circulating cardiovascular cases
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
- Assist surgical team with scrubbing/circulating as needed
- Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and other OR staff for seamless patient outcomes
- Document patient status accurately and timely
