Job Description:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the successful delivery of construction projects by coordinating and managing the information, documentation, and processes required to meet goals for quality, schedule, budget, safety, profitability, and client satisfaction. Working under the direction of the Project Manager and in coordination with the Project Administrator, the APM assists throughout all project phases—pre-construction, construction, and closeout. Responsibilities include reviewing contract documents and estimates, assisting with procurement and budgeting, managing submittals, RFIs, schedules, cost tracking, change orders, and documentation, and maintaining clear communication among the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders. During construction, the APM helps monitor progress, costs, safety, and quality, supports billing and reporting, and proactively addresses issues as they arise. At project closeout, the APM assists with punch lists, final documentation, commissioning, warranties, and post-construction activities to ensure a smooth and complete project turnover.
