Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager to join the Underground Division. This individual will be responsible for managing underground electrical infrastructure projects from award through closeout, supporting work primarily related to duct bank systems, utility coordination, and underground electrical construction throughout Florida.
The ideal candidate comes from a subcontractor environment and has experience managing project setup, procurement, budgeting, billing, field coordination, and project execution. This is primarily an office-based role that works closely with foremen and superintendents to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Day-to-DayTake over projects once they are awarded from the estimating teamSet up project budgets and establish jobs in the company's systemCoordinate permitting, utility requirements, and project startup activitiesManage material procurement, vendor relationships, and purchase ordersWork closely with foremen and superintendents to support field operationsEnsure crews have the equipment and materials necessary for successful project executionMonitor project costs, budget performance, and financial healthProcess monthly billings and cost trackingManage change orders, notices, RFIs, and project documentationCoordinate with utilities, municipalities, vendors, and internal stakeholdersDrive projects from inception through closeoutIdeal CandidateComes from an electrical subcontractor or utility infrastructure contractorHas experience managing underground electrical or duct bank projectsUnderstands excavation, trenching, utility coordination, and permittingCan independently run project financials, procurement, billing, and change managementHas enough technical knowledge to understand the installation process and coordinate effectively with field leadership, even if they are not the technical expert performing the work Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience functioning as a Project Manager within constructionExperience working for a subcontractor, preferably within electrical, utility, infrastructure, or specialty contractingExperience managing projects from award through closeoutExperience creating and managing project budgetsExperience with:
