Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a multidisciplinary project team on a variety of engineering and construction projects. This position will assist Project Managers with projects of varying complexity while also taking ownership of smaller projects. The APM will serve as a key coordinator and project liaison, working closely with clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers with Design-only and EPC projects. Assist with RFP package development, bidding, contractor selection, and detailed scopes of work. Manage contractor submittals, RFIs, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs. Monitor contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management requirements. Support contract administration, including change orders, field change directives, invoice approvals, and schedule management. Assist with project controls, including cost reporting, scheduling, WBS development, project setup/closeout, and field progress tracking. Support project budgeting, cost reports, cash flow forecasting, and project status reporting. Participate in project risk reviews and coordinate with Legal as needed. Manage project and contract documentation through closeout. Promote strong Safety & Health performance across project teams and contractors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program. 5+ years of applicable project experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work overtime when needed. Strong collaboration skills with Owners, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
