Project Manager — Mechanical Construction Maitland, FL
• Full-Time, Direct Hire About the opportunity Talent Acquisition Source is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of an established mechanical contractor serving the Maitland and Greater Orlando market. This is a direct-hire seat with the contractor — not a temp assignment — running commercial and industrial mechanical projects from buyout through closeout. You will own the money, the schedule, and the customer relationship on your jobs. The company is looking for a PM who can carry multiple projects at once, hold subs and vendors accountable, and keep the field crews supplied and moving. What you will do Manage commercial and industrial mechanical projects from award through warranty — HVAC, plumbing, process and hydronic piping Own the project budget: buyout, cost coding, monthly forecasting, change order pricing, and profit protection Build and maintain the project schedule; coordinate manpower, equipment deliveries, and subcontractors with the superintendent and foremen Run submittals, RFIs, and shop drawing coordination; keep procurement ahead of the field Prepare and negotiate change orders; prepare monthly pay applications and pursue timely collection Serve as the primary point of contact for the general contractor, owner, and design team Lead project meetings, document decisions, and drive closeout — punch, O&Ms, as-builts, warranty Enforce safety and quality standards on every job What you need 3+ years managing mechanical construction projects as a PM, Assistant PM, or project engineer for a mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing contractor Commercial or Institutional experience — not residential service Ability to read and take off mechanical drawings and specifications Working knowledge of contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and AIA-style pay applications Comfortable with construction management and scheduling software, plus Excel Valid driver's license and clean driving record Able to be on jobsites in the Maitland / Greater Orlando area regularly What will set you apart Field background — came up as a pipefitter, plumber, HVAC mechanic, or foreman Design-build or plan-and-spec work on healthcare, education, manufacturing, or data centers Bilingual English / Spanish OSHA 30, What is offered Competitive salary based on experience plus bonus potential, health/dental/vision, PTO and paid holidays, retirement with company contribution, vehicle or allowance, phone and laptop.
