Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, technology-forward Site Superintendent / Project Manager to serve as the owner's primary field representative across all active Red Ridge projects. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role — you will be on-site 100% of the time, running subcontractors, enforcing schedules, and maintaining constant, clear communication with the office. You are the connective tissue between the field and the back office. The ideal candidate is not just a hard-hat superintendent — they are an organized, tech-savvy professional who can manage complexity across multiple concurrent projects, think ahead of the schedule, and represent the company to clients, architects, and inspectors with professionalism. Core Responsibilities Field Oversight & Subcontractor Management Serve as the sole on-site representative for Red Ridge Construction across all active projects simultaneously Direct, schedule, and coordinate all subcontractors day-to-day including HVAC, framing, electrical, plumbing, tile, millwork, and finishes Conduct daily site walks, enforce quality standards, and hold subs accountable to scope and schedule Identify field conflicts, RFI items, and material coordination issues before they cause delays Manage site safety, cleanliness, and OSHA compliance across all project sites Scheduling & Multi-Project Coordination Build and maintain master project schedules across all concurrent jobs using construction management software Anticipate look-ahead scheduling conflicts across multiple sites and proactively resolve them with subs and the office Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and trade sequencing to eliminate downtime and maintain critical path Flag schedule risks early and communicate proposed recovery plans to project ownership Office Communication & Documentation Submit daily site reports, photo documentation, and schedule updates using project management tools and the company iPad Communicate clearly and promptly with the back office via digital platforms — no delayed reporting, no surprises Manage RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation in coordination with the project manager/office team Maintain organized digital records for each project including inspection logs, sub correspondence, and punch list status Client & Architect Relations Represent Red Ridge Construction professionally in all on-site interactions with clients, architects, and inspectors Participate in owner walk-throughs and address field questions with confidence and accuracy Coordinate with the design team on field conditions that impact design intent, documenting and escalating as needed Required Qualifications 3-5 years of hands-on construction experience in a field superintendent or site PM role Demonstrated experience on luxury residential projects (high-end finishes, custom millwork, premium mechanical systems) Ground-up construction experience — must understand the full build sequence from slab to CO Commercial interior experience a strong plus (tenant improvement, hospitality, or mixed-use) Working knowledge of South Florida building codes, permitting processes, and inspection protocols Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu — including markups, document management, and field collaboration features Comfortable with iPad, computer, and digital platforms as the primary tools for daily field documentation Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., using AI assistants for drafting communications, summarizing documents, or field problem-solving) Strong knowledge of all major trades: HVAC, framing, electrical, plumbing, tile, stone, millwork, and finishes Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with minimal supervision Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to move between multiple active project sites Preferred Qualifications Experience using construction management platforms such as Buildertrend, Procore, or CoConstruct OSHA 30 certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) — strongly preferred given South Florida subcontractor ecosystem Experience managing projects in the $500K-$5M range Prior experience working directly with ownership in a small to mid-size GC environment Technology Requirements This is not an optional part of the role — it is a core competency. Red Ridge Construction is building a tech-forward operation, and this superintendent will be expected to communicate with the office in real time, document the field digitally, and leverage modern tools including AI to work more efficiently. Bluebeam Revu — required for drawing review, markup, and RFI management iPad & Computer — primary tools for daily reporting, photo documentation, scheduling, and email AI Tools — expected familiarity; willingness to adopt AI assistants for drafting, communication, and workflow optimization Construction Management Software — experience with at least one platform (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) Microsoft 365 / Outlook — for office communication and document coordination Work Environment & Expectations 100% on-site across multiple active project locations — this is not a hybrid or remote role Must be able to manage and prioritize across concurrent projects without direct daily supervision Direct reporting line to company ownership; expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy in the field Fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment — adaptability, ownership mentality, and hustle are non-negotiable Compensation commensurate with experience; competitive benefits package
