STA Contracting, Inc. STA Contracting is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help lead janitorial operations at FLETC. This is a hands-on management position with daily responsibility for coordinating a workforce of approximately 40 employees, maintaining building coverage, resolving service deficiencies, and helping the team meet contract requirements. The Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Project Manager, supervisors, and Quality Control Manager. The right candidate takes ownership of problems, communicates clearly, and works well with others while holding the team accountable for results. Responsibilities Direct daily assignments and provide managerial oversight for approximately 40 employees. Build and adjust schedules to maintain coverage across assigned buildings, including when employees are absent or facility access changes. Monitor work in the field, address performance concerns, and make sure employees have the supplies, equipment, and direction needed to complete their assignments. Coordinate prompt correction of cleaning deficiencies and verify that corrective work is completed. Work with the Quality Control Manager on inspection findings and recurring issues while supporting the Quality Control Manager's independent inspection role. Train and coach employees on cleaning procedures, equipment, safety practices, customer service, and site requirements; maintain accurate training records. Communicate staffing needs, operational issues, and progress to the Project Manager. Assist with reports and communication with Government representatives as assigned. Enforce company policies and FLETC safety, security, access, and conduct requirements. Serve as the Alternate Project Manager when designated, providing on-site management coverage as required by the contract. Qualifications At least three years of managerial experience in janitorial services or a related field , as required for the contract's Alternate Project Manager position. Experience scheduling, supervising, training, and holding a sizable workforce accountable. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, email, and routine reporting. Ability to prioritize competing needs, respond quickly to deficiencies, and follow through until issues are resolved. Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and willing to work as part of a management team. Ability to pass the required DHS background check and obtain and maintain a FLETC access badge. This is an on-site position. The selected candidate's resume and appointment as Assistant Project Manager are subject to Government approval.
