Executive Director, Technology Learning & Support Primary Function:
The job of Manager, Technology Projects & Support Services is established for the purpose of providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and enterprise-level management of district-wide technology support services and projects. This position is responsible for directing a multi-tiered technology support organization, overseeing large-scale technology initiatives, ensuring vendor compliance and certification governance, and managing the acquisition, deployment, lifecycle, and sustainability of district technology resources. This role provides leadership for technology project planning and execution; supervises professional, senior, and technical staff; manages vendor relationships and certification requirements; oversees budgeting and resource allocation; and collaborates to ensure technology initiatives align with district instructional, operational, and financial objectives. The Manager, Technology, Projects & Support Services position serves as a liaison between executive leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable, supportable technology solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
1.
Educational Level:
College and/or Vocational school degree with study in job-related area. Associate's degree in computer science or related field; bachelor's degree in technology business, education, or related field preferred; any combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the task. 2.
Experience:
Job related experience within specialized field is required. 3.
Certifications/Licenses:
Maintenance of vendor-required certifications, including Lenovo Administrative Oversight and technician-level credentials, is required within six months of hire date; Valid Driver's License required. 4.

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities 5.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise technology operations, project management methodologies, vendor certification governance, device lifecycle management, budgeting principles, and industry best practices in information technology support and deployment.
Skills:
Leadership and organizational management skills are required to direct a large, multi-tiered technology workforce. Advanced communication, vendor relations, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
Abilities:
Ability to manage complex, concurrent initiatives; supervise and evaluate staff across multiple role classifications; interpret and apply vendor compliance requirements; analyze financial and operational data; communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences; and make independent decisions with district-wide impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. 2. Exercises direct supervisory authority of the Technology Support Specialists and Technology Systems Analysts for the purpose of selection and hiring process; assignment and review of work; performance evaluation; coaching and professional development; attendance and schedule management; corrective action; and recommendations concerning discipline, retention, promotion, in accordance with district policy. 3. Establishes, monitors, and reports key performance indicators for the purpose of technology support operations including service response time, repair turnaround time, ticket backlog, inventory accuracy, deployment completion, warranty recovery, and customer satisfaction. 4. Establishes operational priorities, staffing models, escalation frameworks, and professional development pathways for multiple job classifications for the purpose of ensuring organizational scalability and sustainability. 5. Exercises administrative oversight of vendor-required certifications, for the purpose of maintaining district eligibility for hardware warranties, licensing, authorized repairs, and vendor-supported services. 6. Manages vendor relationships and acts as the primary district liaison for hardware and service providers for the purpose of ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, certification requirements, and optimization of available technology resources. 7. Facilitates the development, evaluation, and procurement of technology solutions, for the purpose of obtaining and analyzing vendor quotes, coordinating technical validation, and supporting cost-benefit and return-on-investment (ROI) analysis in collaboration with Technology Systems Analysts. 8. Evaluates emerging technologies and proposed solutions through technical validation, pilot testing, supportability analysis, lifecycle-cost analysis, and stakeholder feedback for the purpose of recommending district adoption. 9. Oversees end-of-life, repair, reuse, warranty recovery, transfer, and disposition processes for the purpose of maximizing asset value and maintain accurate, secure, and compliant technology records. 10. Collaborates with executive leadership, district departments, and school-based stakeholders for the purpose of aligning technology initiatives with district priorities, instructional needs, and operational requirements. 11. Develops and maintains department standards, operational procedures, and governance frameworks for the purpose of consistency, scalability, security, and sustainability of district technology services. 12. Coaches, mentors, evaluates, and develops staff at multiple levels, including leadership development of senior technician staff, for the purpose of building internal capacity, and continuous improvement. 13. Serves on district committees and cross-functional teams for the purpose of providing subject-matter expertise, strategic input, and integration support for enterprise technology initiatives. 14. Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit.
