We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Fence & Deck Project Manager to lead our installation teams and oversee all field operations from start to finish. Reporting directly to the company owners, you will serve as the operational backbone of our builds, ensuring every project is executed with precision, efficiency, and top-tier craftsmanship. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in deck building and fence installation, coupled with the leadership skills necessary to manage multiple crews simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Direct and oversee all fence and deck installation crews, ensuring safe work practices, productivity, and adherence to project blueprints.
Project Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive project schedules, coordinating timelines to ensure builds are completed on time and within budget.
Material Allocation:
Manage all material logistics, including calculating needs, coordinating deliveries, and optimizing resource allocation to prevent delays and minimize waste.
Quality Control:
Conduct rigorous site inspections at various stages of construction and upon final completion to guarantee all work meets company standards and local building codes.
Owner Reporting:
Act as the primary liaison between the field and the executive team, providing the company owners with regular operational updates, progress reports, and strategic feedback.
Problem Solving:
Dynamically resolve on-site structural challenges, material shortages, or client adjustments without derailing the project schedule.
Mentorship:
Train, guide, and evaluate foremen and crew members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 5 years combined experience in fence and deck installation, custom deck building, and crew leadership/foreman roles.
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of deck construction frameworks, fence installation techniques, structural load requirements, and local building codes.
Leadership:
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple field crews and handling the logistics of several job sites concurrently.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read, interpret, and execute architectural plans and technical drawings.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills for effectively directing crews, interacting with clients on-site, and reporting to company ownership.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the physical ability to navigate active construction sites in various weather conditions.
Pay:
$35.00 - $44.00 per hour
