POSITION SUMMARY
Provide overall management for pre-construction activities and work with the Superintendent to ensure successful project completion. Ensure client satisfaction is maintained. Make decisions and recommendations that can greatly impact client relationships and project profitability. This position acts without close supervision and requires proven construction experience and strong professional judgment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and strengthen client relations. Accurately estimate projects from conceptual design through construction documents. Responsible for overall bidding activities on projects. Provide initial schedules for estimating and bidding purposes. Assist the Superintendent with detailed construction scheduling as necessary. Negotiate, award, write, and enforce contracts. Review project costs with the Superintendent to ensure projects remain within budget. Ensure compliance with bond and insurance requirements. Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with conflict resolution. Coordinate office department support as required for project needs. Coordinate all close-out activities on a timely basis. Perform additional assignments per client or management direction.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
4-year construction-related degree or equivalent. 5-10 years of experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management. Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance. Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and influence.
COMPENSATION DETAILS
Salary Range:
$90,000-$150,000 Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus an annual discretionary bonus. A comprehensive employee benefits package is also offered.
