Job Description

Job Description This North American construction company is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale telecom infrastructure programs across multiple regions. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects, including long-haul fiber optic deployments, site infrastructure builds, wireless towers, and OSP initiatives. These projects are high-impact, highly complex, and require strong leadership across engineering, permitting, and construction execution. As a Project Director, you will operate at a senior leadership level—owning overall project delivery, driving operational excellence, and ensuring alignment across teams, contractors, and stakeholders. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining strong client and partner relationships.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent telecom infrastructure projects, including long-haul fiber routes, site infrastructure, OSP, and tower builds
  • Own full project accountability across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, permitting, and construction to ensure successful project execution
  • Manage contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations
  • Drive project planning, risk mitigation, and issue resolution across all phases of the build lifecycle
  • Oversee permitting processes and ensure seamless coordination between regulatory, engineering, and field teams
  • Partner closely with internal leadership, clients, and stakeholders to provide project updates, manage expectations, and ensure alignment

  • 10+ years of experience in project or program management within telecom, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure construction
  • Proven experience operating at a Project Director, Program Manager, or Operations Manager level
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent large-scale projects with full accountability for delivery
  • Strong expertise in construction execution, including permitting, engineering coordination, and field operations
  • Experience managing contractor performance, project budgets, and schedules at scale
  • Deep understanding of telecom infrastructure or adjacent industries (utilities, heavy civil, commercial construction) Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams and senior leadership levels
  • Preference for candidates based within the Florence or Cincinnati area (within ~1-3 hour drive) Travel required based on project needs
