Job Description

When a client meeting moves, a document changes, or a deadline approaches, the details need to reach the right people. Our New Orleans consulting office is looking for a Project Assistant to help keep that work organized and moving forward. You'll work alongside project managers and consultants, supporting the practical steps behind client projects: scheduling, preparing materials, tracking updates, and following up on outstanding tasks. It's a hands-on opportunity to learn how projects move from planning to delivery while building skills in communication, organization, and coordination. Help keep projects moving Update project calendars, meeting schedules, task lists, and shared records. Prepare agendas, presentation materials, and documents for internal and client meetings. Take clear meeting notes and help track agreed actions and deadlines. Follow up with colleagues for updates and pass relevant information to project managers. Organize files so the team can find current documents and avoid working from outdated versions. Help prepare straightforward progress summaries and check reports for missing information. Coordinate routine questions and requests from clients, directing them to the appropriate team member. What you'll bring to the role Strong organization and attention to detail, especially when several tasks are moving at once. Clear, professional communication in person, by phone, and in writing. Confidence using everyday tools such as email, calendars, documents, and spreadsheets. The judgment to ask questions, flag a potential delay, and follow a task through to completion. A collaborative approach to working with managers, consultants, and colleagues across the office. Previous project experience is welcome but not required . What matters most is that you're dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable taking ownership of the details assigned to you. If you'd like to build practical experience in a professional consulting environment, apply for the Project Assistant position with your current resume.
