Job Description
COMMERCIAL PROJECT MANAGER
Job description Commercial / Residential high-end tile & flooring company seeks Commercial Project Manager. We are a 43-yr young and growing company. Attention to detail, a positive attitude and ability to show initiative is desired. We offer a competitive benefits package with healthcare, pension, and profit sharing. 3 weeks' vacation after two years and two weeks in your first year (after a six-month probationary period). A company vehicle will be provided. The Commercial PM is responsible for the management of projects from estimation through successful completion. Strong communication skills as the Field PM will collaborate with installers, warehouse manager, finance, estimators, clients, and other trades. We currently have projects throughout New England including Boston and Cape Cod. Responsibilities- Visiting job sites regularly
- Communicating with team, builders, architects, and owners.
- Overseeing installation and ensuring quality workmanship
- Collaborating with estimating team to deliver accurate estimates
- Reviewing material orders against estimates
- Ensuring contractual obligations are followed
- Initiating & managing project billing with admin
- Following all job site safety requirements (OSHA certification a bonus)
- Ensuring job site is clean and organized
- Growing the portfolio of potential customers & network. Attend networking events (evenings as required)
- Multi-tasking while on the road (responding to Slack, emails, phone calls, etc.)
- Attending weekly meetings Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction management experience required - tile experience preferred.
- Experience with
LVT, VCT, RUBBER, CARPET
(Tile & Broadloom), WOOD, EPOXY, CONCRETE, GYPCRETE andSELF-LEVELER
a plus- Excellent time management skills and ability to collaborate with others (installers, suppliers-workers, etc.) as needed to maintain project schedules
- Ability to update internal systems to keep project details current - must have computer skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must have an eye for quality and craftsmanship
- Ability to read blueprints, architecture plans and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required, Portuguese and/or Spanish a bonus).
