Position & Office Overview Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a motivated Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager. This field-based role focuses on third-party tank inspections as well as performing tasks assigned by senior staff, with office responsibilities increasing as experience grows. Ideal candidates bring a strong customer service mindset and alignment with ECS Core Values Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Complete Maryland Department of the Environment Third Party Tank Inspections and requisite repairs of deficiencies
Interact and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects
Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested
Interface with contractors and other site personnel on project sites daily
Keep supervisor informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications Maryland Certified UST System Inspector Certification is required
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required
Preferred Bachelor and/or Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting
If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains. E-5 The expected pay range for this role and location is $23-$28/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
