Job Description

C&L Ward is seeking an experienced Decking Project Manager to lead the oversight of our composite decking projects from initial planning through final completion. This position plays an essential role in coordinating project details, supporting a smooth installation process, and ensuring the finished project meets our standards for quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring extensive firsthand composite decking experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, installation crews, and internal teams. Essential Responsibilities
  • Travel to multiple jobsites each day to conduct detailed pre- and post-installation project reviews and inspections (Company vehicle is provided)
  • Confirm project layout, design, product selections and details with the client
  • Take and verify precise field measurements to confirm dimensions, elevations, and material requirements
  • Identify potential installation challenges, design conflicts, structural concerns, or access limitations before installation begins
  • Document measurements, project details, photos, changes, and specifications accurately and thoroughly
  • Clearly communicate any discrepancies, necessary changes, or potential concerns to the appropriate team members
  • Answer client questions and explain project details in a knowledgeable and professional manner Required Qualifications
  • Extensive firsthand experience building composite decking
  • Strong knowledge of composite deck construction, design, layout, measurements, framing, stairs, railings, and finishing details
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings, measurements, contracts, scopes of work, and product specifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively across clients, sales, administrative, management, and field installation teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify installation challenges before construction begins
  • Ability to travel between multiple jobsites each day
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and access areas necessary to inspect and measure projects
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment associated with jobsite inspections
Pay:
$75,000.00 per year
