Architect / Project Manager Exact Architects | Kansas City Come design projects you'll actually get to see come to life. Exact Architects is looking for an architect or architectural project manager who wants more than a desk, a drawing set, and one small piece of a very large project. We're a Kansas City architecture and engineering firm working on some of the most interesting adaptive reuse, historic, multifamily, hospitality, restaurant, and commercial projects in the region. Our work often starts with an old building and an ambitious idea—and ends with the doors opening and people experiencing the space we helped create. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of that entire journey. What makes Exact different We're intentionally a smaller, entrepreneurial firm. That means talented people have a voice, make decisions, interact directly with clients and contractors, and take real ownership of their projects. You might help test an idea for a historic building, work through the design with the owner, coordinate engineers and consultants, solve problems during construction, and then stand there at the grand opening knowing you helped make it happen. We like architects who are curious about the whole project—not just the drawings. Our team gets exposure to design, development, construction, historic tax credits, hospitality, multifamily, adaptive reuse and the business decisions that determine whether a great project actually gets built. Who we're looking for You may already be a licensed architect, or you may be an experienced architectural designer or project manager working toward licensure. More important, you: Love architecture and genuinely enjoy seeing things get built. Can take a project from concept through construction. Are comfortable coordinating clients, consultants and contractors. Have strong Revit and technical-documentation skills. Enjoy solving problems rather than simply identifying them. Want responsibility and the freedom to make decisions. Like working with a small, ambitious team. Are interested in the business, development and construction side of architecture. Want your fingerprints on projects throughout Kansas City. We want someone who can become a key part of our architecture group—someone we can hand an exciting project to and say: "Let's figure out how to make this happen."
