Hybrid 4 days onsite in Maryland Heights, MO Our client seeks a Project Manager with a database background to lead complex data initiatives and a large-scale migration associated with integration activities. The role requires strong project planning, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate business needs into technical outcomes. The Project Manager will oversee database migrations, upgrades, and integrations while ensuring stability, performance, and risk mitigation. Communication and executive-ready presentation skills are essential. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate:
$60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2 #LI-JS1
Responsibilities:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders. Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and integrations with attention to performance and stability. Identify, assess, and manage risks related to data integrity, downtime, and technical dependencies. Lead cross-functional teams including developers and DBAs to deliver milestones. Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications for engineering teams. Drive execution excellence and maintain operational stability across phases. Coordinate platform integration activities within larger transformation programs. Prepare and deliver clear communications and executive-level presentations.
Experience Requirements:
8+ years as a Project Manager focused on database and infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing platform integration or large-scale transformation programs. Strong understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud database technologies. Knowledge of data integration concepts and patterns. Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple dependencies. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Proactive risk identification and issue resolution capabilities. Ability to bridge technical and business teams effectively. Track record of execution excellence and delivery stability.
